Medical Director NWMMB
Dr. Stefanie Rogers is a neonatologist at Northwest Newborn Specialists, which serves multiple hospitals in the Portland area. She was born and raised in Portland and loves being able to combine her passion for the Pacific Northwest, human milk, and neonatal care as Northwest Mothers Milk Bank co-Medical Director.
After Dr. Rogers completed her undergraduate work at the University of Puget Sound, and Medical School at Saint Louis University, she then completed Pediatrics training, and Neonatology training at Texas Childrens Hospital in Houston, TX.
It was in Houston that Dr. Rogers researched human milk at the USDA/ARA Children’s Nutrition Research Center, and was able to see firsthand how powerful human milk can be. She returned to Oregon after fellowship, and lives in Portland with her husband and two children. She loves snow skiing and waterskiing, and traveling.
