Below is a list of available Lactation & Community Resources. Your healthcare providers and birthing facility are excellent starting points for locating lactation support. Below you'll find additional resources locally, state-wide, national, and on-line options.

Northwest Mothers Milk Bank is a Diaper Donation Drop-off Location for PDX Diaper Bank 

Feel free to drop off during our normal business hours:

Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Drive-up, ring the doorbell or call us at (503) 469-0955 and we will send someone out to assist you with your donation!

LactMed (National Library of Medicine)

An online database containing information on drugs and other chemicals to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed, along with their potential adverse effects on nursing infants. All data are sourced from scientific literature and fully referenced. A peer review panel ensures the validity and accuracy of the information.. 

 

La Leche League International 

LLL offers a 24-hour helpline at 1-877-452-5324, providing information, education, and support for those who want to breastfeed, as well as for healthcare providers. Local chapters offer additional programs.

WIC - National Women's and Children Program

WIC is a  Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children that serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets.
